Assoc. Prof. Lucian Mircea Sasu, Ph.D., received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Transilvania University of Brașov, and Ph.D. in 2006 from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science within the same University. His thesis - "Computational Intelligence Techniques in Data Mining" investigated usage of Neural Networks for large sets of data (Data Mining). He is currently an associate professor at Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Transilvania University of Brașov, and leader of Machine Learning research group. He was also R\amp;D engineer in Siemens Brașov (2012-2019) and Fotonation (now Xperi; 2019-2021). He was visiting professor at Université Paris 13, Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris-Nord (2019).
